7 THINGS YOU NEED TO BE CAREFUL ABOUT

There are things we must carry and handle with extra- carefulness because these things are fragile and once broken, it is not easy to put back together and once some of these things get broken, they can lead to huge damage and destiny wastage. 1. *Your Name*: Your name is very important and fragile. There are names that stinks in the ears of people simply because, those who bear those names spoilt the name. The way to handle your name with care is to be careful of your doings. Your actions can rubbish your name. A good name can open doors for you & for your children and generations after you. Carry your name with carefulness. It is a huge asset. Here is one of the quotes written by Shakespeare: 'Whoever steals my purse steals trash; 'tis something, nothing; 'Twas mine, 'tis his, and has been slave to thousands; But he that filches from me my good name, my enviable reputation Robs me of that which does not enrich him, But makes me poor indeed'. 2: ...

6 Reasons why you must TRUST GOD

Sometimes we put our trust on our closest friends and then we think we are safe. We let them know all our secrets and forget that sometimes the tables do turnaround bringing your enemy to be your best friend and your best friend your worst enemy. And when that one person let out your entire secret you will then be full of regrets, shame and betrayed. “ Ps 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God” There are about 181 verses in the bible, both the trust of man and of God. But am going to show you 6 (six) reasons on why you should trust God over man. One reason you must trust God is: He Knows You by Name: Isa 43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. If you continue to read down to verse 7 you will then understand why you should trust him. He Thinks About You: Psa 139: 17 How pre...

Article - ARE YOU HOME YET?

Have you ever wondered why things are not what they should be concerning you? Why your heart has never had rest? Why you don’t seem to have had genuine peace? It is all because that part of God in you, that part that really matters, is not yet at home with the maker and owner! The bible says in Gen 2:7, “And the lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul”. Until that part that makes you a living soul returns home, you cannot be said to be living. In 1John 5:12, the bible says “he that hath the son has life, and he is Jesus Christ, and of himself he says in John 14:6. I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh to the father but by me”. So return today, receive and have the son, and your life will have a meaning. Maybe you already know the story of the prodigal son or you have heard about it before, in Luke 15:11-32, the young man strayed away from home and wasted his life i...

Article - Overcoming Your Fear

I am fascinated by the way lions hunt. I ’ ve read that it ’ s the lionesses that actually do the “ lion ’ s share ” of the work. The males are obviously incredibly intimidating, with their manes and their ferocious roars, but it ’ s the chicks you really have to watch out for. The fact that lionesses do not have a big, recognizable mane actually helps them sneak up on whatever they are hunting. They lie in wait, hidden in the tall grass, motionless like statues. I listened to a sermon by Pastor Brian Houston in which he said that the males do play an important, albeit small, role. While the females stalk their prey from behind, the king of the jungle will come from the front and let loose one of those roars that gives him his spot at the top of the food chain. This sound is so powerful it can be heard for up to five miles away. Hearing that terrifying noise causes the gazelle or antelope to run as far as they can away from whatever made that sound. What they don ...

Article: SELF APPRAISAL

“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates” - 1 Corinthians 13:5)? Have you ever sat down to think about what people think about you? or how they think about your work, i.e. If its satisfactory or not? here is what little Tom did.  Little Tom who got regular pay for cutting the lawn of an elderly woman decided one day to prove whether he was satisfying his employer.  He went to a shop to phone the elderly woman, requesting to come and take care of her lawn. The woman replied that she already had an expert handling the job.  He insisted that he would do it free for her to show that he was better at such jobs, but the woman reaffirmed that she was very satisfied with her present service provider and had no need to try another.  Tom smiled at the other end having proved that his job was satisfactory. That was a self-appraisal by Tom....

MARRIAGE is like a Shoe...

"MARRIAGE is like a shoe. When you wear oversize, be ready to drag it along through out life, and when you wear under-size be ready to feel the pains through out life". One thing about marriage is that you don't drop your shoe or remove it at any point, no matter how painful or how stressful it is. That is why I thought it necessary to write you this letter. Dear Singles, When you are ready to buy your own shoe please take note of these three things: 1. PHYSICAL APPEARANCE : Do not look for the beautiful ones, the nice ones or the cheap ones. Look for the one that is your size. Not every handsome, wealthy or intelligent guy is for you, not every beautiful woman is for you. Look for the one that is meant for you, the one that aligns with your values and belief, the one who you meet at your life's journey. It is important to know where you're going in life before you think of getting a wife. 2. POSITION : All sizes of shoes are not placed in the sam...

What Choice do you Have?

"Don't be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God's Son, and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment." John 5:28-29 NLT Both believers and unbelievers will be resurrected from death. But resurrection will bring entirely different results for the two groups. Jesus' words in today's scripture make it clear that some will rise to eternal life . . . others to judgment. Daniel said it this way: Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Daniel 12:2 NIV Scriptures describe two resurrections. The first one is for all believers. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will ri...

How To Stop Gossip

Sometimes, we tend to gossip without understanding the implications, while some of us just think its to have a story to tell. have you ever wonder what your gossip do to the person you are gossiping about? When you are tempted to gossip, Please Ask yourself these 8 Questions:   1. Is my Speech Seasoned with Salt?  We must be very careful and intentional about the words we say, and not just speak carelessly. Ask Yourself: Will my words taste wholesome to whoever hears my words, whether now or later? Colossians 4:6, ESV Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. Matthew 12:36, ESV I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak.   2. Is my Speech Kind?  Are my words sweet to the soul of who I’m talking to, and who I’m talking about? Proverbs 16:24, NLT Kind words are like honey – sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.  3....

Power Thought - No Excuses

And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, The Lord is with you, you mighty man of [fearless] courage. —Judges 6:12  My dear friend, ain't you tired of giving one excuse or the other? In the book of Judges, God decided to work through a man named Gideon to deliver the Israelites from captivity. But when the angel came to call Gideon, Gideon began rehearsing a list of his inabilities, including reasons why he thought he could not do what God was calling him to do.  In Judges 6:14 God says, Have I not sent you? In other words, “Would I ask you to do something I haven’t equipped you to do?” And again, in the next verse, Gideon responds with excuses—I’m too poor, too small, too weak. Because words have power, Gideon believed what he said about himself more than the encouraging words of the Lord.  Stop thinking of excuses or things to complain about—It’s too hard; I’ve never done this before; this isn’t what I had planned; I don’t know ho...

Now I have you forever, I can do that everyday. Before I take off your cloth and make love to you… let me tell you few things.  I have nothing to hide from you from this day. The Direction You Missed

One wrong step in life can lead to a major crash of destiny, While one right step can lead to eternal pleasure and treasure. When you allow the lord to lead you, the future is secure, the future is great. Why Do We Need Divine Direction Proverbs 14:12 (Prov. 16:25) - "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death".  It weighs ok, It is traditionally all right on the balance of human wisdom, it seems all right You are permited to think, but let God have the final say Proverbs 16:9 - A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. The one who created the wilderness Knows the way through it. Psalms 32:8 - I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. The best of our wisdom and our logical thinking is not a substitute for God’s guidance. BENEFITS OF DIVINE DIRECTION – Psalms 23:1- 6  1 Divine Provisions  Psalms 23:1 – 2 The LORD is my shepher...

ARE YOU A GARRI LADY or A BREAD LADY??

I remember a friend of mine telling me how he used to solve his hunger problem in the days of poverty. He said he would go to any market where they display different kind of garri for sales. He would price it and take almost handful of each kind of garri and eat it, 'testing' to know if the garri is good. He said he can taste like four kinds of garri like that, and he won't buy any one. He would just give one excuse either by saying the garri is not sour enough or that he will buy it when he is returning. He said by the time he has eaten four handful of garri, he would just buy a sachet of pure water & drink and he would be okay for that moment. I teased him that why can't you do that if you are hungry and you wish to eat bread. Then he said 'Eben, you want them to kill me. The bread is inside a nylon oo and you can't take it without first paying and once you tear the nylon, it mean you have paid for it or you are paying for it.'.  This is the...

Commanding The Supernatural Via the Word

Everything you need to succeed and have amazing breakthrough in life is already documented in the Bible waiting for your discovery. God has said something about that area of your life in which you desire to search it out. It takes the word to gain mastery in the world Most of the troubles that believers encounter are predominantly due to ignorance of their redemptive rights (Hosea 4:6) . That you are a child of God alone does not guarantee your victory in the battles of life. You need relevant knowledge of God’s word to generate power for unending breakthrough in whatever area the enemy is challenging your faith. Your personal understanding of what words says over every situation is what enables you to gain mystery over life’s situations. The knowledge of God’s word that you have about that situation will give you victory over it. Evils come through sin and ignorance Of the two, ignorance is more pathetic. Ignorance is a deadly enemy of victory. If you are ignorant of g...

Why We Need Understanding Part 2

The Lack of understanding of God’s words and His ways makes a believer look like a sinner (Pro. 21:16).   As a result, he will abide in the congregation of the dead, suffering. it is the ways of God that commands the act of God! How to get Understanding Engage your spirit man. The reason many are frustrated in church is that they have not come to understand the system or ways of grasping the truth. When you are not in the spirit, you cannot appreciate any truth of scriptures. You have to be in the spirit to appreciate the truth being communicated to you (Rev. 1:10; 4:1-2) .The pursuit of revelation or understanding, it is required that you be in the spirit. You can’t find God with your head; you can only find God with your heart ( 1Cor. 2:11-13 ). It is with your spirit that you can grasp the things that are freely given to you of God, because the Holy spirit can only communicate with your spirit, not with your soul ( Rom 8:16 ). The spirit of man is the candle...

Why We Need Understanding - Part 1

Understanding is all that faith requires to come alive.  But what is Understanding? It is being able to see what God is saying. An understanding of the word of God is your most valuable asset in your journey as a Christian. Understanding is the only thing that distinguishes one believer from another. There is no substitute for understanding. Fasting is a waste of time and religious punishment without understanding. Prayer is a religious oppression as well without understanding. This is because everything in the kingdom produces to the level of your understanding. In the account of the parable of the  sower in Matt 13:18-23 , Jesus said the seeds that fell  on good ground, are those with a good and honest heart, who received the word and understand them, and so went on to produce more fruits, some a hundred-fold, others sixty, and others thirty. The only variable among the factors listed is their understanding. The seeds that produced all fell on good g...

YOU ARE INDESTRUCTIBLE

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever “(1Peter 1:23 ). Jesus said in Luke 8:11 that the Word of God is seed, which means you were born of God’s incorruptible seed when you were born again. The Word seed is translate from the Greek word “Sperma”. That is where the English word “Sperm” came from. So the opening Scripture should actually read: “being born again not of corruptible sperm but of incorruptible, by the sperm of God which liveth and abideth forever”. Understand that when you are b orn again, you are born of God’s sperm – His word. This is what makes you indestructible. The Life in you is sickness, disease and death resistant. You have the life of God, and that makes you supernatural. The same life that makes God who he is, now flows I your spirit, soul and body. Your life is no longer dependant of blood that flows through your physical body. The blood of man is the life of the f...

DON'T QUACK LIKE DUCKS, SOAR LIKE AN EAGLE

I received this story this morning, it came in so timely and thought I should share ... Enjoy Good article. DUCKS QUACK WHILE EAGLES SOAR   I was waiting in line for a ride at the airport, when a cab pulled up; the first thing I noticed was that the taxi was polished to a bright shine, smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie and freshly pressed black slacks.  The cab driver jumped out and rounded the car to open the back passenger door for me. He handed me a laminated card and said: I'm Wasiu, your driver.  While I'm loading your bags in the trunk I'd like u to read my mission statement.' Taken aback, I read the card; It said: Wasiu's Mission Statement:   " To get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and cheapest way possible in a friendly environment" .   This blew me away. Especially when I noticed that the inside of the cab matched the outside. Spotlessly clean!  As he slid behind the wheel, Wasiu sa...

Do You Love Him?

God so loved the world that He gave Jesus - ( John 3:16). And Jesus so loved us that He gave Himself for us - Rom 5:5, John 15:13 . It involves sacrifice and depicts laying down your own desires for the benefit of mankind, especially your nation. That is, giving up your own will and time to pray for the peace, unity and progress of this nation. Love is a spiritual catalyst that empowers the purposeful and people-oriented leadership that transforms a nation.
