Mary Karacas booking photo A 75-year-old woman allegedly fatally shot her 84-year-old boyfriend during an altercation, Simi Valley Police officials said Monday. Simi Valley police were called to the home in the 6200 block of Anastasia Avenue about 4:15 p.m. Sunday to check the well-being of the resident, police said in a news release. Officers found Salvatore Orefice partially covered and with a gunshot wound, police said. While police were at the scene, Mary Karacas, 75, arrived in the home and told investigators that she shot Orefice during an altercation. She added that she had a “long-standing relationship” with the victim. She was arrested and booked into the Ventura County jail on suspicion of murder, police said.

This huge snake was spotted this morning at Aina street in Ojodu Berger, Lagos State. It was a bad day in the office for a suspected  female kidnapper  who allegedly tried to abduct a child on her way back from school at Okeho, Dopemu area of Lagos State, as she was nabbed by vigilant residents of the area who caught on her and gave her the beating of her life. The incident which happened on Tuesday, March 15, was captured by a Facebook user by the name  Ojagbule Samuel , who recorded the proceedings on camera. According to Samuel, the angry crowd descended on  the middle aged lady  and she was stripped naked and beaten blue black with blood gushing out of her body. The mob was hell bent on setting her on fire but for the intervention of some police officers who rescued her and whisked her away to their station.
