England Annouces New Manager

Sam Allardyce has been appointed England manager. The 61-year-old signed an initial two-year deal after compensation was agreed with Sunderland, whom he steered to Premier League safety last season. He succeeds Roy Hodgson, who quit after England were knocked out of Euro 2016 in the last 16 by Iceland. Allardyce's first game in charge will be a friendly at Wembley on Thursday, 1 September against as yet unnamed opponents. His first competitive match will be in Slovakia on 4 September as England begin their qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup. He leaves Sunderland after nine months, having helped them avoid relegation last season. The Black Cats are now looking for their ninth manager in eight years. Ex Chelsea Boss Jose Mourinho Signs £15m Pre-contract Agreement With Manchester United

Ex Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho according to several media reports has signed a pre-contract agreement with Manchester United to become the club's next manager, replacing Louis van Gaal. A report from El País in Spain claims that Gestifute, the company of Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes, has confirmed that the Portuguese manager signed an agreement last month to take him to Old Trafford. However, United can back out of the deal if they change their minds.  “If United do not sign the final contract [with Mourinho] before 1 May, they must pay £5m; if by 1 June he’s still not signed, they shall pay another £10m,” the report said.  “May is the key, because it’s the month in which the vast majority of the signings of players are closed and the plans formed.”.
