“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates”
- 1 Corinthians 13:5)?
Have you ever sat down to think about what people think about you? or how they think about your work, i.e. If its satisfactory or not? here is what little Tom did.
Little Tom who got regular pay for cutting the lawn of an elderly woman decided one day to prove whether he was satisfying his employer.
He went to a shop to phone the elderly woman, requesting to come and take care of her lawn. The woman replied that she already had an expert handling the job.
He insisted that he would do it free for her to show that he was better at such jobs, but the woman reaffirmed that she was very satisfied with her present service provider and had no need to try another.
Tom smiled at the other end having proved that his job was satisfactory. That was a self-appraisal by Tom.
A good student does self-assessment by attempting questions on every topic he reads. Find out too what your teachers, parents or guardians think about your work.
These are ways of assessing your service worth. Getting feedback from people on whatever you do can help you rise to excellence. working on yourself actually bring out the gift in you. Using similar methods, you can also evaluate your Christian life.
Challenge: Criticisms stimulate the progress of the wise.
Prayer: Lord, give me wisdom to assess my work.
Quote: Evaluate your Christian life
