Have you ever wondered why things are not what they should be concerning you? Why your heart has never had rest? Why you don’t seem to have had genuine peace? It is all because that part of God in you, that part that really matters, is not yet at home with the maker and owner!
The bible says in Gen 2:7, “And the lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul”. Until that part that makes you a living soul returns home, you cannot be said to be living.
In 1John 5:12, the bible says “he that hath the son has life, and he is Jesus Christ, and of himself he says in John 14:6. I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh to the father but by me”. So return today, receive and have the son, and your life will have a meaning.
Maybe you already know the story of the prodigal son or you have heard about it before, in Luke 15:11-32, the young man strayed away from home and wasted his life in wantonness of sin. Coming to his senses, he made up his mind and returned home to his father who had daily anxiously expecting him to come back home. He was received, pardoned, and given a warm reception. You know too that you have strayed from God and your father according to Isa 53:6. He has expects you to return today. All you need is to acknowledge your sins and repents. (Ps 51:1-3,10). A great reception is awaiting you today if only you’ll come home (Luke 22:7)
Perhaps you have already given your life to Christ, but the cares of this world is distracting you. Don’t be deceived, press on and be faithful. Let God be your sufficiency!
I learnt recently of two men, one a Missionary, the other the King of a powerful nation. The Missionary was returning home to his country after a 40years work overseas. This coincided with the return of the King from a 40hours expedition. A crowd came to receive the King and no man came to welcome the Missionary.
Highly discouraged and wroth within himself, the Missionary lamented “God I have been away for 40yrs and now I’m back home with no one to receive me while many had come to welcome the King from a hunting spree”. But God spoke to him, “My Son, you’re not Home yet”.
Brothers, press on, you’re not home yet. Sisters, don’t look back, for you are not home yet.
