How to Quit Bad Habits - How to Quit Smoking

Former heavyweight boxing champion, George Foreman, was a heavy drinker. He drank anything from water to spirit. 

But, as he recounts in his book, God in My Corner, on one of his birthdays, he got so drunk that he could not remember what happened that night. 

The next day, he ran into his friend who had been badly beaten up and had a swollen eye and other bruises. He asked what happened. 

“Don’t you remember?” the friend retorted. “You beat me up last night!” That stunned George and shook him so much that he decided to never take another drink of alcohol in his life. 

Do you have a bad habit which you think is difficult to quit? Yours could be indulgence in examination malpractice, disobedience or insubordination to your parents or school authority, involvement in cultism, drug addiction, careless use of your tongue, pornography, or other forms of immoral practices. 

With these practices, you cannot make heaven.

Man Cries Out as He is Sentenced to Jail for fetching Rain Water

Gary Harrington of Eagle Point, has been sentenced to 30 days in jail and to pay a fine of $1,500, all because he had three reservoirs on his own property, that he used to collect and use rainwater. Harrington says he plans to appeal the conviction in the Jackson County Circuit Court. That conviction revolved around nine misdemeanor charges that come from a 1925 law. That archaic ordinance bans what state water managers called “illegal reservoirs.” “The government is bullying,” Harrington said in an CNS News, last Thursday. “They’ve just gotten to be big bullies and if you just lay over and die and give up, that just makes them bigger bullies. Speak unto the children of Israel that they go forward” - Exodus 14:15  It is unfortunate that many youths do not see the need or have the zeal to move forward in life. Rather, they find a comfort zone at the bottom of the ladder of life.  A story was told of a young man from a very rich home, who completed primary school but chose to waste away his life with vagabond lifestyle, despite his parents’ wish to sponsor him up to university level.  All his mates, including those who were not as bright as he was, made it in their academic pursuits.
