Salvation
of humanity from the evil in this world and the world to come is the greatest
miracle of all ages. That Jesus came to die for humanity and spilled his blood
on earth for the remission of our sin is the greatest news of all times.
“Act 10:43 says “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever
believeth in him shall receive remission of sins”.
“Act
26:18 to
open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of
Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance
among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me”.
Jesus
was anointed to put an end to all works of the devil, (Act10:38). With resurrection, Christ is risen with greater power
and glory to put an end to all oppressions of wickedness against those that
embrace this truth and follow after Him……….
And
Jesus came (after resurrection) and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given
unto me in heaven and in earth (Mtt
28:18). With this power He sets the captive free (Act 10:38), gives wealth (Det
8:18), subdues our enemies (Psa
66:3), heals the sick (Mrk 3:15),
gives eternal life (John 17:2) and
empowers us to live a holy life on Earth (Rom
1:4).
Jesus
does not only have this power to exercise, he has received the permission from
God to confer this power on men on the account of salvation.
“John 1:12 says “But as many
as received him, to them gave he power
to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on
his name”.
“Luk 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and
over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you”
“Act 4:33, And with great power gave the apostles witness of
the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all”.
However,
so many claim to believe this truth but are not experiencing the power, yet
will not have a rethink on what could be wrong with their belief but rather
poise on their religious affiliations which by this denies the power of
salvation as past, not existence or yet to come someday. From such people 2Tim 3:5 demands that we turn away from
them. The problem with such people is that their journey of salvation end with
belief alone (James 2:19-20, 26).
This
is by a step of the beginning of a journey to a destination. Beyond our belief
is a continue pursuit after light, the truth of the word of God. Rather than
following traditions or religion, we are expected to pursue after the truth and
walk by it to experience the continuous flow of power for outstanding life. Matt 11:28-30, Ish 60:1-3, Psl 119:130
It
is this continuous learning culture that gives credence to Christianity and it
is such atmosphere that set pace for the power of God to flow into our lives.
“John 8:32 says “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”.
I
pray that God gives you the Understanding of his words today for you to remain
ever free in his name. God bless you.
